The hotel is at a distance of more less 400 m from the beach, which is not sandy but a rocky beach. That’s the reason why the Hotel offers its clients (from May to September) a free shuttle service to the famous “Poetto beach”, which is just 1,5 km (= 5 minutes) away from the hotel. Our clients can hire sun launches and umbrellas at the beach, where the hotel has agreed special tariffs or they have the possibility to go to the free beach without any extra cost.
How to reach Cagliari?
By Bus: The bus stop is in front of the gate of the hotel (opposite side of the road). It takes you ca. 20 minutes by bus to arrive at Cagliari. Busses run every 20 minutes. Tickets are available at the reception and have a cost of €uro 1,00 (one way)..
Is the use of the swimming pool included in the room rate?
Yes, the use of the pool is free of charge. Additionally we offer our clients sun launches and umbrellas . The pool is open every day from 10 o’clock A.M. to 7 o’clock P.M..
How e/or where can I rent a car?
Hotel Califfo has various rental cars, and we also work together with a local car rental agency.
Is parking free of charge?
Yes, the parking lot is free of charge. The parking is not preserved, but supervised by a video camera which records 24 hours a day. The parking lot will be closed every night from about 01,30 a.m to 05,30 a.m.
How to reach Hotel Califfo?
From the airport: the easiest way is to take a taxi at the airport (€uro 35,00), the drive has a duration of more less 25 minutes. Alternatively you can go by bus. At the airport take the bus into Cagliari Centre (VIA ROMA), from there take the “PF”-bus, which leaves you directly in front of the hotel.. Tickets (one way) have a cost of €uro 1,00. The hotel has its own bus, on demand we organize transfers to and from the airport e/o harbour (€ 100,00/drive)
Internet access. How does it work?
There are various possibilities to get an internet access: - n° 2 internet point in the hall (nor for free) - Wi-Fi system (Tin.it) available with your lap top in the public area of the hotel and in the rooms on the first floor in the A and C area of the hotel. - Analogic system via the telephone wire in all rooms: the connection is analogic and the telephone protocol is in pulse, not in tone. (important) - The hotel is situated in an area with GSM – GPRS – UMTS signal of all telephone operators, including the possibility to access the internet with your mobile phone.
How to reach Villasimius?
By car: Villasimius is at a distance of more less 32 km (25 minutes by car). At the gate of the hotel turn right and always go straight ahead. You can’t miss it. You can hire a car in the hotel. By boat: At the harbour of “Marina di Capitana” you can hire boats. Following the cost in direction east, you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches in the world in only 20 minutes. By bus: The bus stop is at a 150 meters distance (on the right) from the gate of the hotel. The blue ARST bus reaches Villasimius in only 40 minutes. The busses pass in front of the hotel at 5 o’clock and at 8 o’clock A.M. and stop at Villasimius town, not at the beach. We do not recommend to take the bus.
