Dear Guest,   since 1983 we focused our care to the  energy saving matter and to the environmental sustainability of our tourist busyness. In the same year we installed our first solar panel and we built a water cleaner for making water for irrigation (1st level).   Nowadays we steadily check our establishments  and we insert or replace with new equipment  worth for energy and water saving.  In the meantime we try buying local products either for distribute income on the territory or for avoiding   not necessary freights.   In the 1995 we installed a ventilation kit for water saving. In the same year we checked our lighting system; currently our light sources are energy saving.   We are gradually replacing all sorts of heating oil with heat or cold pump system (air conditioning).  In the bathrooms all information are shown for suggesting if   linen has or  not to be washed or replaced.  In the 2004, when  Residences where built, we chose a gas heating system with single boiler for each apartment, providing hot water.   Aside from less pollution it results in energy saving.   Since 2008 we are gradually replacing all our televisions with new lcd video,  with lower energy consumption   and easier to take off.   In the same year we started with separate rubbish collection.  In 2009 we replaced all solar panels with the newest ones so that from the sun heating we can even provide hot water. We fixed all 50 solar panels on our terraces but  no negative landscape effects it caused.   In the same year we started replacing flush box water with two buttons.   In 2010 we increased our set of photovoltaic panels with reverse system for producing about 20 kwh of  cleaned energy.  This kind of energy is a worth tribute for the Hotel needs.  In 1971, when we started, no environmental instance where in use; since then lots of things has changed and we try to be updated and we search for making  Holiday industry sustainable with the environment.    We thank you for your help.  

SARDINIA AND SEA The hotel it's situated in the nearest of the major beach called "Poetto beach". The Hotel provides free transfers shuttles from May till September, the beach is only 1,5km. far away. In many rooms we have the panoramic view of the Golf of Cagliari, one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Mediterranean Sea, over the lovely poetto beach you can see also the white cliffs of the "Sella del Diavolo" and of Calamosca. The Hotel Califfo risults on of the mayor facilities in the South of Sardinia and of the inner side of Cagliari. The hotel it's situated in the nearest of the major beach called "Poetto beach" and with our free daily transfers shuttles that goes to different times from May till September, and the other beaches are only 1,5km. far away During all year there are efficient busses lines that go from Quartu Sant Elena City trough the Cagliari city town . It's easy to get to small turistic mini Ports like  "Marina piccola", "Capitana"; with places to moor boats or even to rent them ,rubber dinghies there is also a centre of sailing and diving, Ristorants, Bars, Pizzerias or even Acquatic Parks. The Bus stop in situated just in front of our hotel and there is a bus every 20 minutes. Near by the Hotel there are many beaches : S.Andrea, Is Mortorius, Mari Pintau, Geremeas, Kala e Moru, Torre delle Stelle, Solanas, and Villasimius witch it's only about 22 km from us. In many rooms we have the panoramic view of the Golf of Cagliari, one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Mediterranean, over the lovely poetto beach you can see also the white cliffs of the Sella del Diavolo and of Calamosca. The Hotel Califfo risults on of the mayor facilities in the South of Sardinia and of the inner side of Cagliari. The Hotel has the swimming pool tennis courts, soccer, minigolf , and a discotheque. The Hotel has a wide parking with facilities also for busses and with gardens with palms ,olive trees and oleanders. The treatments could may vary from bed and breakfast throw the full board. In the Hotel we have : Suites and Modern Residence with Appartments for at least a week of journey .
